I have had two people approach me this week to build a website for them. In both cases I have told them that they need this training before we can go forward.

What I realized is that they, like most people wanting to do a business online, had a great idea, but had done no real research online, no competition study, no keyword research, is the market or niche even viable…and then I realized that I would be doing all this for them. And if I was going to be doing it for them, I should be doing it for me instead.

My job is marketing…to get your business on page one of Google. I do lots of research and lots of analysis. My job is to get you on that front page and dominate your market. If I don’t think I can do it, then I won’t take you on as a client. Period….End of Story.

If you want to be online full time, you have to treat this as a real business because it is a real business. I forgot that when I started.

I had been in a brick and mortar business for years and was great at marketing. How much different could this internet thing be??? Ha!

It’s the same in this way…. that you must know it from the ground up and then you can hire out the projects. But you must know the business first.

I am sooooo excited. I re- did my site today. I now have video examples and website examples of my work to help local business get seen and be found on googles front page on here now. And tomorrow there will be some more videos. I just ran out of time tonight to get them all done and up on the website.

So watch out Canon City and Colorado too! I am coming and I am going to help the local business people to be seen on the world wide web! I am going to help you take over, dominate and run your competition off the Google roadmap.

I am so psyched! I am so excited! What other word can I use to tell you how really pumped up I am about how a local business can not only be saved, but thrive in today’s economy by dominating google’s front page for their major search term/keyword/niche.
