If you build it they will come…
Somehow, that’s what most people believe. You finally get a website up and everyone will flock to your site…buy your wares, listen to your every word and wait for any new product, idea or morsel that you might throw their way…
You’ve always wanted to have your business online, your customers have pestered you about when you’ll finally come out of the dark ages and get online and NOW…you FINALLY have your site up, but nobody knows you’re there… so now what do you do?
Most give up at this point or they ask their cousins uncles brother for help or …. you can always take classes, read books in geek speak, study SEO and hope that what you are doing or learning or taking a stab at works….

When you search online for Cool Red Widgets, do you almost always search on page 1 and go to another site from there? No, me either… and for those of you who said yes that you do go to page 44, just stop right now and go read your SEO books, take a class in geek speak…you need to do this for yourself. For the rest of us, most people look at the top 10 on the front page and occasionally go to page 2 of Google…occasionally…. The studies all show that the top 10 front page positions get the lion’s share of the traffic. So that’s where you want to be.
Dominate Your Competition
So how do you take over page one of Google and dominate your competition? I’m glad you asked….
Well, the answer is, there are many ways and means to do that. From article writing to videos, blog posts to web 2.0 and on it goes. Some take a long time and some a take a shorter time. Using several different methods instead of just one seems to work best. That’s the direction I take. I mix up several different methods to get your site, your business all over the front page of Google for your search terms. In other words…. you dominate your competition. They don’t know what hit them and are left wondering why they’re relegated to page 3 or 4 or page 44.
Ready to get your site noticed and keep it there? What would a front page Google listing do for your business on a search term that your clients typically type in to find you and your competitor?
And BTW… Have you noticed that your old advertising style just isn’t working anymore? Newspapers are closing, radio stations are re-formatting. So do yourself a favor and put your ad budget into what is working and where people are searching for you. People are using the internet to find businesses, products and everything else 63% more than the yellow pages, newspaper or radio. The businesses that are staying current are the ones that are staying open. If your customers can’t find you online, they go on to someone else…. someone on page 1 of Google.
